The Facts and Fantasies of Book Publishing—June 12
One of the best ways to build speaker credibility is to have a book or books published by major publishers. With eight books and over 30 years of publishing experience to his credit, Michael LeBoeuf knows first-hand what it takes to build a successful writing career. In this candid and somewhat irreverent presentation he will share what he has learned about choosing a marketable book topic, writing a winning book proposal, how to choose a good title, working with agents and the joys and frustrations of working with publishers.

January 9—Dale Irvin, “Show Me the Funny”
Dale Irvin is the World’s only Professional Summarizer. He did this at the June NSA Convention. Throughout the day, he noticed key details of the event. At the dinner, he summarized it with a comedy monologue written on the spot. He also does this for companies such as Allstate, Duracell and Mercedes. One of his clients best described his performance when she said; “What Billy Crystal brings to the Academy Awards, you brought to our meeting.”
