Extreme Speaker Makeover

Marcia Reynolds, PsyD, CSP, and Deborah Dubree on Keynote Development

Deborah will explore her journey after buying consulting time with Marcia Reynolds at the NSA-Arizona auction that led her to makeover her entire approach to the speaking part of her business. Deborah will share what she learned in the their initial meeting and then how she went on to apply what she learned at Marcia’s annual keynote retreat. Marcia will highlight the tools she used in the process of coaching Deborah, including how to find your theme, your voice, and your stories. Deborah will also share two of the most memorable speaking techniques she learned. Marcia will then lead the audience in two exercises to practice these techniques on their own.

Dr. Marcia Reynolds is considered an expert on how the brain works by her clients world-wide. In addition to coaching executives and top talent in multi-national companies, she travels the world teaching and speaking at conferences on leadership, emotional intelligence and organizational change. Excerpts from her book, Outsmart Your Brain, have appeared in many places including Fortune Magazine, Harvard Management Review, Cosmopolitan, The Los Angeles Times and The New York Times and she has appeared on ABC World News and National Public Radio. Her new book, Wander Woman: How High Achieving Women Find Contentment and Direction will be released in June, 2010. Business Building Session

The Business Building Session starts promptly at 12:15 and ends at 1:30 p.m. The Business Building session is designed to provide members with information and tools necessary to successfully build their speaking business. The format we are using is based on Jim Cathcart’s Eight Professional (Speaker) competencies. All morning attendees are welcome.

Dr. Kimbrough will introduce you to the SBA-SCORE organization, including the emerging SCORE Speakers Bureau! You will learn how SBA-SCORE is available to assist individuals in small businesses development and entrepreneurship including; marketing, advertising, branding, business plans, financing, training, and more.

Dr. Treva Kimbrough is President and CEO of two “boutique” companies: Magnum Opus HR Consulting Solutions, and, Kimbrough Christian Counseling Group. She is an Ordained Minister; Board Certified Christian Counselor, and, Certified Professional Life Coach. Prior to entrepreneurship, Dr. Kimbrough spent 28 years in corporate management, training, organizational development, and Human Resources. As an Epipha’Nologist™ and Coach’Ologist™ Dr. Kimbrough encourages, educates, empowers, and, equips, individuals to lead Enterprising lives and careers. She is wonderfully married, the mother of two children, and grandmother of six. Currently she supports the SCORE organization and is working on her first book publication.
