Main Stage—Randy Pennington, CSP, CPAE
“Success is Not An Accident: How to Plan for the Results You Want”
There are three things that will affect your success in the coming year:
1. What the economy does.
2. What your clients do.
3. What you do.
The only one you can control is what you do. So unless you want to leave your success in the coming year to chance or dumb luck, you can’t afford to miss the January 8, 2011 program with Randy Pennington, CSP, CPAE.
You will walk away from this fast-paced, interactive session with strategies and ideas you can use immediately to:
- Identify the areas of your business that need your focused attention in order for you to succeed on your own terms.
- Implement a strategic planning process that leads to intentional – rather than accidental – success in 2011 and beyond.
- Avoid five key pitfalls that will sabotage your business.
- Make the one choice that will change everything about how you approach your business.

Voice of Experience—Joe Contrera
A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Becoming A Professional Speaker … I Got Lost!
Sounds like a great title for a movie! The truth is that at times in his speaking career Joe Contrera did feel lost! Can you relate?
Joe would tell you that the path has certainly not been straight and at various points along the way those famous words of Robert Frost echoed through his mind … “but I chose the road less traveled!” Less traveled? How about deserted!
Whether you’re a speaker, coach or trainer, the last 3 years have been the ultimate in ups and downs. And, although we all travel the road together, you have to choose your own lane!
Listen and learn as Joe shares with you the 3 best decisions he made in 2010 and how those decisions changed his business for good! Find out how to make 2011 your best year ever!
Joe Contrera is the president of ALIVE @ WORK, a leadership development firm that specializes in the development of intentional leaders, focused employees, and extraordinary results! How To Ignite the Fire in Your Sales Team in Just 21 Days as well as articles published in various magazines and trade journals.
Joe speaks on programs that integrate accountability, empowerment, and coaching into bottom line results. He is a graduate of the Coaches Training Institute in San Rafael, California and a member of The International Coach Federation.
Candidate Connection
The Candidate Connection starts promptly at 12:15 and ends at 1:30 p.m. The session is designed to provide members and Candidates with information and tools necessary to successfully build their speaking business. The format we are using is based on Jim Cathcart’s Eight Professional (Speaker) competencies. All morning attendees are welcome.
Get Better Connected . . . At a Deeper Level
Ted Rogers and Ed Scannell, CSP
Ted will open the program with an overview of the Candidate Connection goals for the remainder of the program year.
Ed Scannell will conduct an icebreaker that is bound to get everyone mingling and connecting.
The team of Ed Scannell and Ted Rogers will help each candidate fine tune (or develop) their infomercial (e.g., 30-second elevator speech). All candidates will then deliver their intros for critique.
Once everyone has delivered their intros and learned more about each other, it will be time to take that energy and consider forming a mastermind group. Ted will show you how it is done.
Closing: Participants will be encouraged to “share” his or her walk-away from the session and will be given “homework” to work in preparation for the February meeting.
This is a must meeting for everyone who wants to walk away from the day meeting feeling empowered and connected.
Come hear this outstanding program!
