Growing Your Business: Gigs and Beyond

In a competitive marketplace, success hinges on your ability to deliver a unique message to a receptive, paying audience in their choice of formats. This requires focused marketing and revenue-generating activity that positions you as the go-to expert on your topic.

During this hands-on session, you’ll create an integrated plan with specific strategies you can implement starting Monday. Please bring your expertise to the table and Michelle will share her recipes to help you:

  • Develop a message that makes you stand out
  • Invent a process, system, strategy, or model that gives you a platform to stand on and build from
  • Leverage your expertise through a mix of keynotes, workshops, teleseminars, webinars, and online tools
  • Get paid to create and publish your books and workbooks one chapter at a time
  • Execute a do-able social marketing strategy that positions you as an expert
  • Multiply your influence by licensing your intellectual property
  • Attract sponsors that pay you to market yourself
  • Harness the power of the media. (Check out Michelle’s press room: http://michellemaymd.com/press-room.shtml)

Much to her parents’ dismay, Michelle May, M.D. retired from her successful medical practice to share her message of “mindful eating and vibrant living” through speaking, writing, training, and working with the media. In the last five years, Michelle has delivered over 500 paid keynotes and workshops (many from her home office). She is the CEO of the Am I Hungry?® Mindful Eating Workshops and Facilitator Training Program (www.AmIHungry.com), with over 220 Am I Hungry?® Facilitators in seven countries.

Michelle is the author of Eat What You Love, Love What You Eat: How To Break Your Eat-Repent-Repeat Cycle, named by TIME.com as one of the Top 10 Notable New Diet Books for 2010 and recipient of seven publishing awards. She has been featured on Dr. Oz, the Discovery Health Channel, and all of the Phoenix channels; she’s been quoted in Fitness, Health, Parents, Self, USA Weekend, US News & World Report, Woman’s Day, WebMD, and others. Michelle is the immediate past-President of NSA Arizona. She practices what she preaches by hiking, practicing yoga, hanging out with her kids, and indulging her passion for food and wine with Owen, her husband of 25 years.

Voice of Experience—Arlene Rosenberg

Speakers Standing Strong: A Guaranteed Formula For Success

Event Planners are under the gun today. In addition to requiring their speakers have an effective delivery, and presence, event planners must hire speakers that exhibit strong thinking, strong leadership and strong counsel. These speakers have developed a powerful inner sense of self-empowerment. During this thought-provoking and lively presentation, Arlene Rosenberg will help you understand how to use the tools that speakers need to let go of self-limiting behaviors and “Stand Strong”. Arlene’s 3-step formula, I^3 =C+P+S will help speakers build confidence, power, and success as she shows the attendees how to identify sabotaging behaviors, integrate new knowledge and thinking, and implement these new skills.

Arlene Rosenberg is a professional and personal development coach, author and speaker with more than 20 years of expertise in leadership training, interpersonal communication, teamwork, and change management. Arlene currently advises highly motivated executives and entrepreneurs on becoming confident and strong leaders. Hailing from the New York Metropolitan Area, Rosenberg spent many years in corporate America where she served as a trainer, leading sales associate, and human resources executive. Since then, she has coached individuals and groups within companies of all sizes.

Watch Rich Create a Website in Minutes and Learn How To Put Magic In Your Online Marketing

Rich Hamilton

You’ve heard so many things about how you should promote your speaking business online. But what to do first? How can you allocate those few hours you have when there seems to be so much to do?

What is the most important part of marketing (online or offline)? Should you concentrate on social networks or having a website built? What about email? And mobile websites? Can you build a website yourself? Do you have the time? What if you build it and no one comes? How do you make a website usable… for yourself and for your website guests?

Join NSA-Arizona’s webmaster Rich Hamilton in an adventure that will explore the online tools and methods to create websites easily and make them effective. Learn to maximize your internet real estate with a minimum of cost.

Bring your wifi-equipped laptop computer with you, if you can. Through the magic of wireless internet we’ll give you a hands-on experience creating a webpage that gets indexed in the search engines quickly, along with a special serving of Google juice!

In Closing

Participants will be encouraged to “share” their takeaways from the session. And participants will each receive two very special gifts from Rich to help in making the most of their online marketing efforts.

What if you could “steal” some of the magic of Disneyland and make it work in your business? Rich Hamilton writes and speaks about Disney business secrets… and he is a master of online marketing. The author of Disney Magic; Business Strategy You Can Use At Work And At Home, and Internet Business Magic; Using Disney’s Magic Strategy In Your Own Online Business, Rich combines the Disney principles with uncommon business sense to give you a solid plan for creating and improving business.
