“Show Me the Funny”

As The Professional Summarizer™ Dale delivers up to the minute comedy monologues based on the events that have just happened. He practiced his unique style of humor at the June NSA Convention. Throughout the day, he noticed key details of the event. At the dinner, he summarized them with a comedy monologue written on the spot. He humorously summarizes for companies such as Allstate, Duracell and Mercedes. It is a one-of-a-kind presentation that his clients love so much they bring him back year after year. One of his clients best described his performance when she said; “What Billy Crystal brings to the Academy Awards, you brought to our meeting.”

Business Building Session—Ted Rogers and Vickie Mullins

The Business Building Session starts promptly at 12:15 and ends at 1:30 p.m. The Business Building session is designed to provide members with information and tools necessary to successfully build their speaking business. The format we are using is based on Jim Cathcart’s Eight Professional (Speaker) competencies. All morning attendees are welcome.

“Books: Special Market Sales”

So your book is done… it looks great. You feel great. Then … the big question. NOW WHAT!!! What do I do next? How am I going to sell these boxes of books? Is there more to life than just back of the room sales and retail establishments?

What if you could secure an order of 5 or 6 figures for your book? With cash up front, no returns and the strong possibility that the order will bring in more book orders and probably even some speaking engagements as well.

That’s what special market sales is all about. Corporations, associations, not-for-profits and government entities are looking for high-quality books that can be used for brand loyalty programs, product introduction and consumer appreciation campaigns. Selling large-quantity book sales is an under-used opportunity for authors who want to break through the normal retail sales figures. In fact, Vickie and Ted believe it might be easier to sell 10,000 books to one company than to sell 1,000 to retail businesses.

Attendees will discover:

  • Strategies to align and identify potential sponsors;
  • How to look outside the box for expanded market possibilities;
  • How your publication possesses unlimited value added potential for your sponsor’s brand, products and customer loyalty;
  • The secrets for powerful and effective closing.

Ted Rogers is president of Inspired Living Systems a training and professional development company. He speaks internationally on lifestyle strategies and human potential and performance and is the creator of “The 10% Factor” success process. He is a past president of NSA-Arizona, past chair of NSA’s President’s Council and currently serves as in-coming Chair of NSA’s Membership and Acquisition Committee.

Vickie Mullins is president of Mullins Creative, a full-service graphics and design enterprise that specializes in creating brand recognition for speakers and authors. She has authored eight books in the series titled “I Want You To Know Me” and speaks nationally on family legacy, integrity and women’s spiritual growth.
