Main Stage—Michael LeBoeuf, PhD

“The Facts and Fantasies of Book Publishing”

It’s hardly a secret: One of the best ways to build speaker credibility is to have a book or books published by major publishers. With eight books and over 30 years of publishing experience to his credit, Michael LeBoeuf knows first-hand what it takes to build a successful writing career. In this candid and somewhat irreverent presentation he will share what he has learned about choosing a marketable book topic, writing a winning book proposal, how to choose a good title, working with agents and the joys and frustrations of working with publishers.

Michael LeBoeuf‘s eight books have been published in more than a dozen languages, sold almost two million copies and been adapted to produce seventeen audio and video programs. He began his working career as a business school professor teaching Management. The success of his writing and speaking career allowed him to retire from teaching at age 47 in 1989. Some of his books include, Working Smart, Imagineering, The Greatest Management Principle In The World, How To Win Customers And Keep Them For Life and The Millionaire In You. He has been interviewed on hundreds of radio and television shows including The CBS Evening News, Good Morning America and Oprah. He moved to Arizona in 1996, proclaiming himself to be an unemployed prince, a title he still holds today. He lives in Paradise Valley with his wonderful wife, Elke and 11 cats.

Voice of Experience—Debra Exner

“Coaching for a Productive Summer”

Summers can be a time for relaxation, rejuvenation, re-creation or renewal. Whatever your summer includes, this session focuses on how coaching can help you be intentional in the upcoming months. Following a brief overview of coaching, this will be an interactive session where you get to practice coaching and being coached. And the focus of the coaching: making it a productive summer!

Debra Exner hired her first coach in 2000. She got so much from the experience that she went on to earn her Certified Professional Co-Active Coach designation from the Coaches Training Institute as well as becoming a Professional Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation (ICF). She coaches clients to connect, communicate, collaborate and achieve their business and personal goals. Debra is President of the Phoenix ICF chapter.

Extreme Speaker Makeover—Kathy Marcil and Eileen Roth

“Organizing for Speakers”

With all of Kathy Marcil’s expertise, the one issue she was unable to master was the art of organizing herself for personal and professional success until she met Eileen Roth who did what she was never able to do for herself. Eileen worked her magic to resolve an organization problem Kathy thought could not be solved as she has diagnosed herself as having a disorganized personality disorder.

In this session you will see how Eileen Roth helped Kathy Marcil transform her office so she could be more productive and save time. More important, Kathy could stop diagnosing herself and get on with her business. It was her last roadblock to success.

Kathy Marcil has been a licensed counselor, life purpose coach, and a nationally certified intervention specialist for over 30 years and seen over 10,000 clients and conducted over 1,000 interventions. She addresses personal issues that affect employees in professional settings and people in their personal lives. Kathy speaks on surviving life’s unexpected moments and helps people write personal mission and vision statements.

Eileen Roth is the author of Organizing For Dummies(R), and your Tour Guide for Success. She helps you travel on the 4 paths of your L.I.F.E. – your Location, Information, Focus and Experiences. Eileen has appeared on the Today Show and Oprah and been featured in ASTD’s Training and Development, Successful Meetings, Convention Forum, Event Solutions, Self, Real Simple, Reader’s Digest, Women’s Day and even twice in Men’s Health.
