June Cline, CSP

1. Describe three strengths and/or values you possess that will be valuable to the NSA-Arizona Board.
Achievement, Creativity and Experience: With leadership roles and positions for the last 20 plus years at both the National and State levels of the Speaking Industry, these three values helped me and my teams to lead teams and committees to achieve goals and creatively enhance the value and perception of the membership. One example was leading NSA Georgia to win NSA’s Chapter of the Year with our theme of “Let’s Get Visible!”
2. What are you passionate about as it pertains to the chapter and/or the speaking industry and/or life itself?
Core to my being are freedom, adventure and excitement. These cornerstones fuel my passions of humor, houses, Harleys and the perseverance of the Human Spirit in times of peril and peace.
Debra Exner

1. Describe three strengths and/or values you possess that will be valuable to the NSA-Arizona Board.
I’m an idea generator. I love to get things done and collaborate with other people. I contribute to the organizations I belong to. At our NSA chapter, I enlisted other members to revive the chapter library, served on last year’s program committee, and am involved with our terrific Speaker Lab. I’m finishing my term as International Coach Federation Phoenix Chapter president and have also served on and been president of a wide variety of organizations. I collect and recycle good ideas from all of my experiences.
2. What are you passionate about as it pertains to the chapter and/or the speaking industry and/or life itself?
I’ve been self-employed for over 25 years working as a corporate trainer, coach and speaker. I’m passionate about collaborating with others to create something more than I can on my own, and helping people within and outside our organization recognize their talents and find the best way to contribute.

1. Describe three strengths and/or values you possess that will be valuable to the NSA-Arizona Board.
I bring the perspective of someone who has made speaking my full-time business since 1989. I have kept up with new trends and new skills needed to be successful. I’m a good writer and communicator and know how to coach others to improve their skills. Maybe most important, I am a “bottom line” type person. I believe in keeping things simple, clear and to the point.
2. What are you passionate about as it pertains to the chapter and/or the speaking industry and/or life itself?
I have been a member of NSA for more than 20 years. (I beamed when Cavett Robert told me I was an excellent speaker. Later I found out he told EVERYONE that!) NSA helped give me the skills and courage to begin and sustain my own journey as a professional speaker/trainer/consultant. It’s been a wonderful adventure, and I’d like to be a part of a group helping others do the same thing.

1. Describe three strengths and/or values you possess that will be valuable to the NSA-Arizona Board.
Energy – Not just the ability to accomplish a lot, but to share that energy as excitement in people, projects and possibilities. Creativity – My creativity as a graphic designer and business owner has fed my family for nearly 20 years. Giver – It’s not about me nor what I can gain …
2. What are you passionate about as it pertains to the chapter and/or the speaking industry and/or life itself?
Content with simply serving the clients in the graphic design company I had founded in 1991, a tragedy placed a call in my heart which concluded with writing eight books just six years ago. The only way I knew to market those books would be by sharing my story. I had to learn to speak from the platform. I visited NSA … nothing has been the same since. The friendships, mentoring, education and encouragement showered on me since that first meeting has opened doors and placed adventures in my life I would have never dreamed of. I have to pass that on.
Susan Ratliff (Incumbent)

2. What are you passionate about as it pertains to the chapter and/or the speaking industry and/or life itself?
I am very excited to soak up the knowledge offered by the veterans in this business, improve my skills as a presenter and earn a living full time sharing my business knowledge and exhibit marketing experiences.
