How To Take Your Speeches From The Chorus Line To The Spotlight
Taking Content and Turning It Into A Show Using Humor, Stories, Characters, and Whatever Else You Have Up Your Sleeve
with Kelly Swanson
Isn't it time you stood out in a crowded market? The way to get out of the chorus line and into the spotlight isn't about being better. It's assumed you will be remarkable at what you do. If you aren't remarkable, you aren't even in the chorus line. It's not better that gets you to the spotlight - but different. Give them something they don't expect. If you want to be in the spotlight, you have to be willing to do what it takes to get out of the chorus line. Whether you are a brand new or a seasoned speaker, you’ll learn something new – and leave laughing!
Explore how to:
- Go beyond the transfer of information to develop an emotional connection
- Captivate and entertain audiences
- Set yourself apart in a crowded market
- Be remembered long after your program
- See things from a new perspective and create endless ways to take your speech from remarkable to flippin' off the hook.
Kelly Swanson will share how we can use stories, comedy, poetry, music, act outs, monologues, and whatever else our creative minds discover to take our speech from a program to a show. The only requirement is courage. The courage to try new things. The courage to come out of your comfort zone. The courage to step out of the chorus line and into the spotlight. Are you in? I hope so. Be sure to register now for Kelly Swanson, one Southern accent, a thousand characters and an unforgettable experience.
Kelly Swanson is an award-winning storyteller, motivational speaker, comedian, author of "Who Hijacked My Fairy Tale?" and creator of Prides Hollow and the beloved wacky cast of characters who have charmed audiences from coast to coast - from board rooms to cruise ships. She writes original one-woman shows that make you laugh, help you find your focus, show you how to deal with stress and change, and remind you how much you matter to the companies and the communities you serve.
Kelly says "Before I started my speaking career, I spent years working as a professional storyteller. Yes, there is such a thing. In 2004, when I fell head over heels into NSA and the world of motivational speaking, I took one look around at the industry and my competitors and said, "Uh oh, this is too different. Nobody is doing this. It must be wrong." I buried all my Prides Hollow characters, and set out to become like everybody else. Biggest mistake I made in my business (so far). I took the one thing that I had that would put me in the spotlight, and traded it for a seat in the chorus line. Learn how to stand up and stick out in a crowded market - because nobody notices normal. For more about Kelly go to www.kellyswanson.net.
