Sales—How to sell your way to the top of the speaking profession
with Jim Cathcart, CSP, CPAE
In this program Jim will share what he’s learned through his 41 years of speaking to over 3,100 audiences around the world, his authorship of 18 books with major publishers, his successful and unsuccessful partnerships and his “dances” with different brand identities and topic specialties.
You will learn:
- How to craft and sustain a highly successful speaking career while gaining the admiration of the people whom you admire.
- How to approach sales and how to train your staff to sell or assist in sales.
- Policies and Practices from Jim’s 41 year speaking career and what he’s learned from the best of the best in this business.
In addition, you’ll:
- Get the Eight Competencies of Relationship Selling and their parallel to the Professional Competencies that Jim created for NSA.
- Receive a copy of Jim’s “Service Commitment” aka “Here’s what I’ll do when I speak for you.”
Learn from those who have traveled the path before you and your journey will be shorter and quicker. That is why we invited Jim Cathcart to join us again here in Arizona.
“Been there, done that” is a perfect description of Jim Cathcart’s speaking career. He started as a rosy-cheeked kid who wanted to be like Earl Nightingale but had no skills, training nor guidance to do so. Then he joined NSA in 1976 as one of about 200 members. Since then he’s virtually done it all! President of NSA, CPAE Hall of Fame, Certified Speaking Professional, The Cavett Award, Golden Gavel Award from Toastmasters, Lifetime Achievement Award, Legends of Speaking Award, President’s Award for Distinguished Service and more. To top it off, he’s the guy who created NSA’s Professional Competencies program. A few years ago he was the Voices of Experience chair, and he’s chaired the annual convention and workshops. Whew!
Jim Cathcart, CSP, CPAE, author, professional speaker and business leader, is the CEO of Cathcart Institute, Inc. (founded in 1977), an organization devoted to helping clients create and grow High-Value Relationships. He was recently appointed as the first Entrepreneur in Residence by California Lutheran University’s School of Management. Jim’s four decades of study in applied behavioral science has resulted in The Acorn Principle, a guide to understanding the many elements that make us who we are plus The Self Motivation Handbook, 336 ways to do what needs to be done. The Acorn Principle achieved international best-seller status. In fact, it became the nation’s #2 best-selling e-book, second only to Stephen King. As the author of 17 books, a popular Blog and scores of recorded programs, Jim’s students number in the hundreds of thousands.
