Mark LeBlanc, CSP runs a speaking business in Minneapolis. He conducts presentations and creates experiences for independent and practice professionals who want to create an extreme sliver of focus and put more money in their pocket as a business owner.
In fact, he has authored or co-authored four business books, including Growing Your Business, Never Be the Same, Build Your Consulting Practice (with Henry DeVries) and Defining YOU (with Henry DeVries and Kathy McAfee). He has clocked over twenty thousand business coaching hours, given over one thousand presentations, and conducted over 150 business retreats. He is a past president of the National Speakers Association and a Certified Speaking Professional (CSP).
LeBlanc’s keynote speech and book Never Be the Same were inspired by walking the 500-mile, Camino de Santiago pilgrimage across Northern Spain. Audiences have been captivated by the self-management and self-leadership lessons learned along the trek. He is the founder of The Mark LeBlanc (Young Entrepreneurs Succeed) Foundation.

It’s hard to believe that another year is coming to a close. This year the candidate program has been packed with exciting speakers that provided great direction for building your business. Despite the challenges we experienced in the world we were able to quickly adapt, move from live events to virtual and provide valuable training for you on how to do that same thing in your business.
We plan on finishing the year on a high note. Our panel of experts will share from their experience in building businesses and defining brands. These experts represent the foundation of our theme – The ABC’s of Unpacking Your Speaking Business—covering Area of Expertise, Business Model, Content & Community You will have an opportunity to find out from our experts how they’ve positioned themselves in the market, designed their business and continue to market their services to the community.
Roger Rickard knows that successful advocacy can change the world; it is his life’s work as the Founder and President of Voices in Advocacy® and author of 7 Actions of Highly Effective Advocates. He has more than 30 years of experience as an advocacy professional, speaker, trainer, consultant, and author.
He has served in numerous industry associations’ leadership roles, is a recipient of several international industry awards, and is a member of Meeting Professional International’s prestigious “Community of Honorees.” Roger currently serves as President-Elect of NSA Arizona.
He is often interviewed by radio, print and television media, highlighted by the MSNBC show Your Business. Smart Meetings Magazine did a cover story on Roger, entitled "Passion & Purpose, Roger Rickard’s Call to Action." Successful Meetings Magazine named Roger one of the Six People Worth Watching in the Meetings Industry. Meetings Focus Magazine named him to their inaugural list of Meetings Trendsetters. Connect Magazine named him to their initial 15 over 50 list of meetings industry influencers.
Roger is a BIG man at 6’8”, a BIG thinker, and is casually known as the BIG GUY with a BOW TIE.
Dr. Tyrone Holmes is a professional speaker, consultant and coach who has spent more than two decades teaching thousands of people to build powerful relationships in diverse settings. He has facilitated over 1,500 live and virtual presentations that have taught participants to reduce the “noise” in their lives, to effectively communicate their messages, to connect with diverse audiences and groups, and to reduce the negative impact of unconscious bias. Dr. Holmes served as a full-time faculty member at Eastern Michigan University in the Department of Leadership and Counseling, and at Wayne State University in the Department of Theoretical and Behavioral Foundations. He is a Past President of Arizona Chapter of National Speakers Association.
Rebekah Elyze is passionate about two things: branding and leadership—and how the two work together. After 20 years of operating multiple businesses and branding hundreds of clients herself, she is now equipped more than ever to help leaders evolve their branding identity. Navigating the road of business entrepreneurship and self-education has caused her to stay ahead of the game regarding "results based" marketing. Today she works with top executives to help unpack and carve out a road map for success in developing their brand strategy. She is the CEO of Action Ventures and Founder of Action Global Initiatives a 508(c)1A Nonprofit Society, whose personal mission is to design some of the world’s most impactful philanthropic campaigns.

You must be a current NSA-Arizona Candidate member in good standing and register for the general chapter meeting in order to attend the Candidate session. The Candidate session follows our monthly chapter meetings and runs from 12:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
