NSA-Arizona Speaker Coaching YOU
Our new plan for the revitalized speaker Lab (now called “Speaker Coaching YOU”) is to start with “Creating (or revitalizing) a Relevant and Powerful Opening.” We will follow this topic in subsequent weeks and months with creating key points, illustrating and applying key points, transitions, and closing appeals until you have written or revitalized your presentation! During the next session, March 21st from 10 to 11:30 at Arcadia City Church located at 3250 N 40th St, Phoenix, AZ 85018, I will present key ideas on openings followed by giving up to 3 minutes practice opportunities for as many people as possible.
Beyond creating or revitalizing your opening, you have an opportunity to create your first speech, or revitalize your current speech. And by speech I include keynote, book description, seminars, speak free to sell product, facilitation introduction, website description, etc. All of these have an opening, key points, key points illustrated and applied, emotionality and rationality, a closing appeal and/or a call to action.
Is your first impression as impactful as you want it to be? You have an opportunity on March 21st to get an expert opinion of your first impression including suggestions for improving it. Your up to 3 minutes of practice is followed by 7 minutes of encouraging feedback and suggestions for improvement. Participants then get the vicarious insight that comes from hearing other people practice their opening and get encouragement and suggestions. Some of those ideas will be valuable to you too.
We will have fun and be highly productive. ALL SPEAKER SLOTS HAVE BEEN FILLED. Please join us as an observer and still gain valuable information.
