Strategic Planning for Professional Speakers with Kristin Arnold, CSP®, CPAE
In a world of constant interruptions and shiny pennies to keep us distracted, Kristin Arnold, CSP®, CPAE will lead you through a dynamic workshop to create your own personal professional speaker business strategy and plan for 2024.
As a strategic planning facilitator, Kristin knows the power of having a simple one-page plan to propel your business. Just for her NSA colleagues, Kristin modified her corporate process to serve the professional speaker.
In this workshop, she will share her step-by-step process to identify your key strategic initiatives, key tasks, and a cadence of execution to move you closer to your goals. More importantly, she’ll share with you templates that were made specifically for professional speakers. You get to pick and choose, adapt what you like and leave behind the rest.
Kristin makes a bold promise (if you stay for the entire morning): You will walk out with a one-page plan that will guide your business in 2024.

Kristin Arnold is the only member of NSA who holds both the Certified Speaking Professional® (CSP) designation as well as the CPF|M – Certified Professional Facilitator | Master. With over two dozen years of team-building and facilitation experience, Kristin specializes in helping executives and their leadership teams in achieving extraordinary results, while using a smooth process and enhancing relationships along the way.
A founding member of the Facilitators’ Community Group adn the EmCee Community Group, Past Facilitator & EmCee Community Group Chair, Lab Director, Provost of NSA’s University at Marco Island, and NSA President in 2010-2011, Kristin is one of our most knowledgeable sources around facilitation and interaction. She started her national involvement with NSA on the faculty of the Facilitation Skills Lab in 2000 and co-chaired the first Interaction Skills Lab in 2005. She is an author and columnist on teamwork, presentation skills, and moderating panels. She is also contributing author to NSA’s Paid to Speak, Speak More! and the International Association of Facilitator’s Handbook on Facilitation.

This week’s “chapter" in our Next Up Speakers program will focus on assessing and developing your own authentic speaking skills and style. We’ll explore influential use of content, voice and body language - breaking each of these down into key criteria, and we’ll share proven practice techniques for elevating the quality and impact of your presentations. In addition, we’ll offer up a variety of ways to channel any anxiety or nervous energy into engaging and persuasive presentations.
This session will begin at noon immediately following our featured speaker and is open to any NSA-AZ members.
